In addition to these new features, Black Ops 6 also includes a roster of familiar weapons from the 90s, each carving out its own niche in the overall meta.

10 LR 7.62

All-Round Best Sniper Rifle

First up is the LR 7.62, the best Sniper Rifle currently in Black Ops 6. Firstly, the LR 7.62 offers a reliable one-shot kill capability if players land their shots on the upper torso or head. It is also much more accurate due to its bolt-action fire mode and does not require players to focus heavily on recoil control, as the weapon recenters after each shot.

The LR 7.62 leads the way in both damage and range among all the weapons on this list, making it the go-to choice for players who want to sit back and pick off opponents from a distance. It's also decently fast, allowing skilled players to quick scope their way to victory. 8 SWAT 5.56

The SWAT 5.56 is definitely one of the more underrated weapons in Black Ops 6, largely thanks to its heavy reliance on accuracy. The SWAT 5.56 itself is remarkably accurate, boasting very little weapon kick or recoil, making it a solid option for players looking to gun down opponents on larger maps like Scud. The only thing really holding the SWAT 5.56 back by default is its slow fire rate, which stops it from becoming one of the top options in the game. This can, however, be increased through the use of the Rapid Fire attachment.

7 Marine SP

This is not too much of a drawback, but the aim-down-sight speed of the Marine SP is not necessarily the best by default. However, with the right build, the Marine SP has the potential to do well on maps like the Pit, but is nearly useless on open maps like Scud thanks to its poor range.

6 XM4

All Round Versatile Assault Rifle

The XM4 is the first Assault Rifle introduced to players in Black Ops 6 and stands out as a versatile, well-rounded option in the category. It excels in both accuracy and mobility, making it a strong choice for players who prefer a run-and-gun playstyle, while also performing well in long-range engagements.

The faster fire rate of this weapon also grants it a solid time-to-kill (TTK) to boot. While its firepower isn't the highest in its class, it holds up well in comparison to other Assault Rifles. The only major caveat of the XM4 is that it leans more towards having an average set of stats that do not necessarily rank too high in any given category, which makes it easy to use, but does come at the cost of players missing out on other powerful options if they choose to pick it up.

5 AMES 85

However, when it comes to both mobility and handling, the AK-74 is lacking.

Though the slower nature of the AK-74 may be a problem for some, boosting its handling attributes with the right attachments is not too difficult, and the side-to-side recoil can also be managed pretty effectively. Fast & Accurate Submachine Gun With a Decent TTK

The iron sights are also some of the cleanest in the game, eliminating the need to run an optic, thus freeing an attachment slot in the Gunsmith. Though all these attributes make the C9 an excellent weapon to use in Black Ops 6, there are other weapons in the same category that rank a little higher.

2 Jackal PDW

Versatile Submachine Gun With Great Damage & Range

One of the top weapons in the game has to be the Jackal PDW, a compact Submachine Gun currently dominating Black Ops 6 multiplayer. For players looking to maximize the Omni-movement system with added mobility, the Jackal PDW is one of the best options, as it offers the highest levels of mobility and handling among all Primary weapons in the game. Additionally, the Jackal PDW features a high fire rate, resulting in a solid time-to-kill (TTK).

The range of the Jackal PDW is also quite impressive, maintaining its high damage output at medium range and even competing with Assault Rifles from a distance. The only notable downside of the Jackal PDW is its lower accuracy compared to other Submachine Guns like the C9, but this can be mitigated with the right attachments.

1 Tanto .22

Slow Shooting Submachine Guns With A High DPS

Taking the number one spot is the Tanto .22 Submachine Gun, a solid contender in the SMG category. Though the Jackal PDW is generally favored for its superior handling and mobility, the Tanto .22 leads the way in firepower, dealing immense damage despite its relatively slow fire rate. While this slower rate of fire emphasizes player accuracy, the Tanto .22 can eliminate enemies with just a few rounds, making it a strong option in the close-range meta.

Additionally, the Tanto .22 boasts a solid damage range, performing well even in medium-range engagements. This versatility sets it apart from other close-range options, making it a well-rounded choice in the meta. Though the weapon lags slightly behind other SMGs in terms of mobility and handling, the difference is minimal and doesn’t significantly impact its overall effectiveness.
